2025/2026 Winter Guard Information Packets

  • Junior Guard (Grades 5 to 8)

    The Tiger Elite Junior Winter Guard is designed for middle school students in grades 5 through 8 who want to try something new and exciting. This program introduces students to the foundations of color guard including dance, flag, and movement basics, while giving them a chance to perform as part of a supportive team. Junior Guard members will learn teamwork, responsibility, and performance skills. No prior experience is required, only an interest in learning and growing. Families can expect a fun, structured, and encouraging environment that helps young performers gain confidence both on and off the floor.

  • AA Guard (Grades 9 through 22 years)

    The Tiger Elite AA Winter Guard is our competitive program for high school students and young adults through age 22. This group focuses on advanced equipment and movement training, choreography, and ensemble skills that are performed at competitions across the Michigan Color Guard Circuit. Members of the AA Guard build performance qualities and technical skills that directly enhance their success in guard and beyond. While some experience helps, it is not required. We welcome motivated performers who are coachable, dedicated, and willing to learn. Families can expect a challenging but rewarding season that balances personal growth with strong competitive experiences.

  • Senior Guard (Ages 18 and older)

    The Tiger Elite Senior Winter Guard is an adult-level ensemble for performers ages 18 and older. This group includes alumni, community members, and anyone who wishes to continue performing in guard after high school. Senior Guard members rehearse weekly and compete in the Michigan Color Guard Circuit, with a focus on performance maturity, advanced equipment skills, and ensemble artistry. The group provides a fun and supportive community for adults who want to challenge themselves while staying connected to the activity they love. Families and members can expect a program that values teamwork, artistry, and performance excellence, while encouraging members to continue in the activity as well as being role models for our younger groups.
